People are my covering - 2021

As part of my A-Level final piece

In this short film, I explored the theme of heirlooms and their deep connection to family. I used personal family photos as the foundation for paintings, which I then edited in Photoshop to resemble a slide projection of cherished family memories, creating a visual journey through time.

This visual narrative is complemented by a script I wrote for my mother, who reads it in both Yoruba and English, giving the film a personal touch as if she were sending a voice message to me.

This film allowed me to blend traditional art with digital media, crafting a unique narrative that honours the enduring significance of family heirlooms and the stories they encapsulate. It stands as a tribute to the memories and cultural heritage that shape our identities.
